Because of COVID-19 concerns, the library will be closed March 19 - April 6. The ending date is subject to change. All programming within the library is cancelled as well. During this time, please keep the following in mind...
The book drop is located on the south side of the parking lot for returns. Library staff will be emptying it daily as usual.
The MORE catalog www.more.lib.wi.us offers you access to online books to read on your computer, tablet or phone.
The parking lot, while not as comfortable as the library's big comfy chairs, offers free wi-fi 24/7.
We regret the inconvenience and look forward to reopening our doors as soon as possible.
Please stay healthy and safe! You are in our thoughts.
Welcome to the Park Falls Public Library Teen and Young Adult Services area, also called The Lair. We are proud of our high quality collection of young adult material in many formats. The goal of our Teen and Young Adult Services collection, programs, and events is to enrich, challenge, educate, and entertain teens and young adults from ages 13 to 21.
Library staff members are experienced in assisting teens with finding books to read for leisure. We are also pleased to help students at any education level with their homework using both print and online materials. Our experienced staff are dedicated to helping teens succeed in school, develop crucial real-world literacy skills, and maintain a lifelong love of books and reading.
The Lair includes a wide variety of fiction and graphic fiction for teens and young adults, as well as audiobooks on both CD and Playaway. We have a large circulating collection of DVDs for teens, including a number of anime series box sets. We also have a library collection of board games which teens enjoy playing, as well as a new and growing collection of Wii video games.
Programming for teens includes the Chequamegon Anime Screening Events anime club, Teen Summer Reading events and activities, our annual Extra Life video game marathon, and participation in the annual All-Night Party during National Library Week. Teens interested in giving input on teen programs at the library are encouraged to join BookForce, our teen advisory superheroes, who meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month to organize our awesome teen events.
